Water Softener is one kind of water treatment plant that can reduce water hardness and make it soft. Its working principle is using sodium cation exchange resin to eliminate calcium and magnesium ions in the water. It is mainly use to reduce raw water hardness and advoid carbonates fouling in the pipeline, container and boiler, etc. The effectiveness reaches 99%.

Why need water softener: hard water contains a lot of calcium and magnesium ions and they are the main components of the scale. If we drink hard water for a long time, it will cause great problems for our health, so we need to use water softener in the water treatment.

Exchange process as follow:

2RNa + Ca2+ = R2Ca + 2Na+

2RNa + Mg2+ = R2Mg + 2Na+

R2Ca + 2NaCl = 2RNa + CaCl2

R2Mg + 2NaCl = 2RNa + MgCl2

Activated carbon filter: fill activated carbon inside, to remove color, odor, residual chlorine and organics substances
Water softener(Chemical dosing system): adopt cation resin to soften wate/add antiscalant(buyer supply) , absorb Ca2+, Mg2+(main elements for composing scale), reduce hardness of raw water.
Security filter: fill cation resion inside, prevent large particles, bacteria, viruses into RO membrane, accuracy is 5um.
RO membrane: can remove particles, colloids, organic impurities, heavy metal ions, bacteria, virus, heat source etc. harmful substances and 99% dissolved salts.
UV sterilizer(ozone generator): for killing bacterial in water, be safe for drinking.
